Krishna has unique approach to management. He does not talk about anger management or crisis management. He talks about karma management. He believes that karma management is the basis of our lives and success or failure depends on how we manage our karma.
Here Krishna classifies karma based on our approach.
- 1.Karma sanyas: A person believes that he has been involved in mundane karma for several lives and has reached nowhere. He now wants to try the other road. He gives up mundane karma and spends his life in service of god or in pursuit of self-development through austerity and meditation.
- 2.Karma yoga: A person continues to do all karma; he goes ahead with all mundane karma. Again he has two choices.:
- a.He lives for his desires; it is called sakam karma.
- b.He remains unattached and still continues to perform desired actions. This is the path of Krishna and he truly believes this is the path of ultimate success. Arjun is a soldier. He is a successful person. He is in a war and there are more successful people he has to fight with. He is a changed person after he gets management lessons from Krishna. And, he ends up being the most successful person of his times.
