We invite everyone to join us in a travel to Kailash Mansarovar in June of 2010. We have one video on the front page about this travel. Here is tentative itinerery. The Golden triangle part of trip is optional. The trip is usually 16 days if helicopter is not used. Cost: We will try to find the best price for these and make our recommendations. The Kailash tour Day 01 22 June Arrival in Kathmandu Upon arrival, you will meet our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu) and assist you to transfer to hotel - clothing inspection – Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 23 June Temple visit in Kathmandu Fly to Nepalgunj-morning sight-seeing tour of Pashupatinath darsan - afternoon 2.00 PM fly to Nepalgunj (3650 m) 1hr 30 mnts flight-and stay overnight in hotel. Day 03 24 June Fly Nepalgunj – Simikot (2870 m ) – Hilsa – Taklakote (3900m ) Early morning 6.00 AM fly to Simikot, will do the emigration formality & fly to Hilsa by Helicopter, trek 20 minutes to reach border and drive to Taklakote. Overnight at lodge in Taklakote Day 04 25 June Taklakote Day rest in Taklakote for acclimatization. Day 05 26 June Drive Taklakote to Mansarovar ( 4560 m) 90 km / 4-5 hrs Drive. Early in the morning drive to Mansarovar -Religious pooja – hawan etc. and continue drive to Darchen. Overnight stay at Darchen Day 06 27 June Darchen – Tarboche & Trek to Dirapuk ( 4860 m ). “Tough Day” after breakfast drive to Tarboche (8 kms) and start trek for Kailash Parikarama to Diraphuk ( 16,500 ft) 12 kms, light lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at camp. Day 07 28 June Trek to Zuthulphuk ( 4760 M) 18 km / 9- 10 hrs. This is the day every pligrims talk about, the most difficult Journey through the yatra, trek up to the 18,600 ft.( Dolmala pass) rest of the day’s program is same as usual, Dinner and overnight at Camp. Day 08 29 June Zuthulphuk – Darchen – Mansarovar Parikrama. After breakfast we trek around 6 kms and will be reaching to the point where the jeep will be waiting for drive to Darchen. After lunch proceed to lake Manasarovar- Parikrama of Lake Mansarovar. Dinner and overnight at camp. Day 09 30 June Drive to Taklakote - 90 kms / 4-5 hrs . Religious pooja – hawan etc. afternoon drive to Taklakote. Day 10 01 July Fly to Simikot – Nepalgunj - Kathmandu. Drive to border , trek to Hilsa and fly to NepalGunj by helicopter or Airplane and fly to Kathmandu. Over night at Kathmandu. Day 11 02 July Transfer to Airport for departure. OPTIONAL GOLDEN TRIANGLE TOUR Golden Triangle & Kailash Mansarovar Yatra From 17th, June to 2nd, July 2010. 17 June - Day 01 Arrival Delhi: Arrive New Delhi. Assistance on arrival by our local representative & later transfer to the hotel. 18 June - Day 02 Delhi Sightseeing: City sightseeing visiting the Qutub Minar ( Tower of Victory ) , India gate ( War Memorial ) .Lakshminarayan Temple ( a modern Hindu temple ) , drive past the President’s House ,Parliament House and the secretariat buildings. Also visit Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru , The Jama Masjid and drive past the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk .Overnight stay at the hotel .
19 June - Day 03 Delhi - Agra After breakfast proceed to Agra .On arrival transfer to the hotel .Later day free for sightseeing visiting the world famous Taj mahal ,The tomb the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great. Overnight stay at the hotel .
20 June - Day 04 Agra - Jaipur After b’fast proceed to Jaipur enruote visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri .On arrival transfer to the hotel .later day free at leisure .Evening can visit Chokh Ki Dhani an ethnic Rajasthani resort to dine with cultural folk dances & music .Overnight stay at the hotel .
21 June - Day 05 Jaipur After b’fast excursion to amber fort ,The old capital of Jaipur rulers .Ride on the back of an elephant from the foots of the hill up to the gates of the fortress .Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur including The Maharaja’s museum and Jaisingh’s Astronomical observatory and hawa mahal .Overnight Stay at the hotel .
PLACES TO VISIT AMBER FORT PALACE - Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression. Continue sight-seeing.
CITY PALACE - A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.
JANTAR MANTAR - This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.
HAWA MAHAL - The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. Night stay in Jaipur.
