No, I am not talking about religion.  Spiritual does not necessarily mean religion.  Let me try to word it differently.  If I said, "Everyone has a sexual side," what would you understand from that.  Does it mean your or mine sexual preferences or does it mean that we all have sexual drive in us.  I would prefer to use the word 'sexual energy' for that.  all of us have and know about existence of sexual energy.  We are all familiar with it.  There is no effort needed to get to this natural process.  Energy according to some moves downward in sexual functions.  There is satisfaction associated with discharge of this energy.  Some may call is waste of energy.  I like to use the word 'loosing or depletion of the energy.'

Osho coined the term, "From sex to superconsciousness."  This was controversial and still continues to cause cotroversy.  Osho's whole life became a controversy.  He was often termed the sex Guru.

So, what am I trying to say here.  Everyone has a spiritual side.  Actually I should say, "Every one has potential for spiritual energy."  Life is all about energy.  Energy is what makes us work, live and die.  The questions are how do you create energy, conserve energy and channel or dispose of your conserved energy.   The energy is available for different situations, functions and purposes.  The energy can be felt in anger, frustrations and different emotional situations.  It is also palpably experienceable in sexual situations.  All you need to close your eyes in these situations and just feel and experience the energy surrounding you.  You can feel it.  You may see yourself out of control in some situations.  This is such a great exercise.  All these situations happen to all of us.  All you have to do is step aside for a second and experience the energy.  You can get back to your normal self after these few seconds.  This experience also helps you know more about yourself and your energy usage.

The question is if we have different types of energy that is available to us.  Is there a seperate energy for sex, a seperate one for anger and another one for spiritual?  If that were the case, we will all go nuts.  I am convinced that we have just one kind of energy.  Usage and expressions of that energy depends on us.  We have the total freedom of expression of our energy.  Some channeling and expression is easier than others.  Newton described the energy of gravity.  Apples fall to ground because of the forces of gravity.  Energy is required for apple to go up.  You may have to use stored energy to throw and apple up in the sky.  Sex, anger and frustrations that some of us call basic insticts have a pulling force similar to that of gravity.  Effort is required to make the energy go upwards.   An active intent and stored energy is needed to get to spiritual level.  That is the reason it is a potential for all of us, but we have to go through an active meditative process to get there.  No wonder Osho had used the term, "From sex to superconsciousness."  To understand the entire process we first have to start seeing life as an energy game.  We will then need to understand how to reduce waste and conserve this energy.  There is also a process of creating and storing more energy.  And then you can channell this energy the way you want to.  You have potential to control your energy flow.  We all control our energy usage at home.  We decide the lwhat level we set home thermostat on.  We decide when to use the light in the house.  Why can't we all use our life energy the same way?  Why just live at the level of no control?
